Ask your workers where they'd look first to find you and you'll find that Google and Ask will probably beat Yell. For some businesses and organisations an advert in Yellow pages with a web link is still the best value - as long as your web site is up to scratch.

For many organisations traditional marketing is far from redundant but for some organisations it can offer relatively poor value. As we see a lot of different types of businesses and organisations we have a good overview of what is likely to work best.

There are many new tools available now such as affiliate schemes, Adwords and link farming etc. We are familiar with them and many other tools and know that every type of business will require a different approach.

Your web site is a cornerstone of your marketing. Increasingly people are going to be looking for a companies web site as a starting point.

It must be

• on page one of Google
• presentable and ideally accessible
• representative
• linked to by every means possible (stationary, signage etc.)
• up to date

Anything less and you are going to be missing out!
