However, even the briefest scratch beneath the surface will prove that you definitely do need more than a little technical knowledge to set them up and modify them. Our own systems are firmly aimed at technophobes
We built our system ourselves, it's not 'off the peg' so we know it inside out. Below is one configuration of the edit bar. Yes, that's it - it's that easy! We can add functions to the standard bar but a lot of pages don't need anything else. Roll your mouse over to see what the functions do.
The link tool opens a new window where you can paste a web address that you have copied from your browser or click on a page you want to link to within your site - so there's no incorrect web addresses typed in.
There's more windows than this, such as document uploads, new pages and sections, newsletter creation, password creation and content approval and others but it's all this simple.
Our systems were originally developed for administration staff use in schools. If an aspect of the system was too complicated or un-intuitive we heard about it in no uncertain terms. Consequently our system has now had years of being made as user friendly as possible.
